I had heard about Love Lake before, but had never gone. To be honest, I’m not a big fan of camping, and the idea of finding scorpions in the desert always scared me a little.

To my surprise, Love Lake is actually really lovely. The kids enjoyed the nice weather, loved watching the fish in the lake, and we were able to have a comfortable picnic with a beautiful view. With a toilet and a coffee shop nearby, you have everything you need.

If you’re looking for an activity that gets your kids to stretch their legs and step away from their iPads, this is perfect.
